Commissions and pricing

I do commissioned portraits, primarily of horses and dogs, but any and all animals.  These are portraits, so it is important to me to catch the personality as well as a true physical likeness of an individual animal, as well as create a beautifully composed painting.  I work from photos, more than one is helpful--yours or/and mine if possible.  I love meeting my subjects--taking my own photos is always best if possible. If you are in the area, we can meet to do this--it's included in the price of the painting and I love this part, too.  Otherwise, working from your photos: These need to be very sharp, clear photos that show allow me to see your pal as you do.

I work in acrylic on stretched canvas or cradled hardboard and there are multitude size options.

I prefer to work at sizes 10 x 10" or larger; prices start at $250.00. I can do smaller pieces for $150.00.
